Overall the Somerset shed kit is good with a few gotchas. First, make sure you use the instructions that come with the kit. The ones online are slightly different. This was very apparent when building the gables. The online instructions show TL and TR as one shape but they actually come as triangles.
Instead of building wall "pieces" with this kit, I opted to buy my own 16 ft lumber for the long walls and 10ft for the shorter walls. I believe it makes a stronger product but to be fair, once this thing is nailed together, it's quite strong. And you will be nailing. The instructions call out nails every six inches on the wall panels along seams.
The instructions label each piece with a series of letters but fail to actually put those letters on the materials so make sure you measure. Some boards are just 1/2" different than others that look similar.
Building Wall #14 seemed to have incorrect instructions or in my haste to use my own lumber I missed something but I laid out the studs according to the dimensions on one side of the door and then on the other side of the door assuming the end result would be a 64" opening. When it came time to mount the door it was apparent that I was off even though the panels mounted to the studs as expected (they were centered, not flush so I think that's where the mistake was.) I had to cut a couple of 68" 2x4s to sister to the main door frame so I could screw the doors onto the face. Not a big deal and it's actually stronger. The instructions don't provide any helpful tips on mounting the doors and if your shed is off the ground, lifting them is quite tricky. I nailed a couple of 2x4 pieces to the floor to act as a temporary support for the doors. This allowed me to get one screw in at the top corner to stabilize the doors and finish mounting them.
I didn't get all the finish nails either but I swear I got way more other nails. I didn't use a lot of the included nails because I was using a nail gun for assembly in many cases. I did get an extra piece of OSB meant for the roof. It was small and not needed.
The kit does not come with paint, caulk, shingles, felt, drip edge, or a floor. Plan to spend another several hundred dollars on that.
Delivery was less than stellar. It seems the marking on the site says one thing and the customer service people are trained to say "business" in front of the number of days to ship/process/find/grow the trees. From order to delivery took nearly a month (27 days). Nowhere near their estimates. The subcontracted delivery company was awesome, however. 5 stars for them.
I'm not sure how long it "should" take to build this shed but I spent about 40 hours. The end result is quite nice. I just wish the delivery was more transparent.
