separator First, a little about me. I am a 49 YO woman and I have basic building skills.

Second, a little about my ordering and delivery. Ordering was easy. I don't typically order online but decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with my experience ordering from SFL. My delivery was a little less than perfect. After waiting for the typical delivery time I called the number I received from SFL and was told my order was there but they were missing a digit from my phone number. I do think it was not a true statement. At any rate, I got my shed shortly thereafter. The delivery guys did not call in advance as I was told they would do. They literally slide the packaged shed to the ground and leave.

The shed was packaged well. I cut off the packaging and started to pull out the parts. Luckily my husband was around to help me carry everything to the backyard. I layered all of the flat pieces on the patio starting with the doors then roof then walls then floor. This made it easy when building the shed since it was the order I needed them in. It was truly a happy accident. All other parts were grouped with like items and everything was inventoried. All of the structure parts were there however SOME of my 2x4s were visibly warped and a few were slightly longer or shorter than listed on the inventory page. I moved along with the warped parts and made adjustments to accommodate them. I was not going to purchase more wood as other reviewers have. I also didn't have time to deal with getting replacement parts since my build is in Colorado and I am working against fall weather issues.

Also, as another reviewer noted, I separated all of my hardware. I noted size and quantity. I was missing a few pieces but know I have some on-hand and it was only 3 pieces. Separating everything made it so simple to organize what I needed and when.

I suggest reviewing the full instructions before beginning assembly. I believe they were well done and pretty easy to follow.

I am not quite finished building my shed as the weather has caused a few delays. If I was able to build from beginning to end (by myself) I would say it would have taken a week or less total. Of course, If you have help it would be faster. I did get help as suggested with holding up the back wall and with the roof panels and doors.

I still have to finish shingling the roof and caulking and painting but as of right now it is already housing some of our outdoor equipment.

I suggest pre-painting the trim before assembly and painting the shed before installing the shudders. Then second coating the trim after you have caulked to cover edges and nail heads.

I found the most difficult part of this process has been finding 3 tab shingles. My local hardware stores only sell architectural shingles which do weigh more than 3 tab. I found a local roofing supplier to get mine. I also saved a little on drip edge by sourcing them at the local Restore location for only 20 cents per foot.

If I ever need another shed I would definitely feel confident purchasing from SFL and confident in building it on my own.
