I ordered the kit a few days after ordering the shed; it arrived several days before the shed. Although the instructions don't say so, the kit is designed and meant to be installed after the shed itself is assembled. I recognized that part of the door reinforcement required the doors to be in place. What wasn't clear is that the main truss reinforcement parts also require that the roof sections be in place. If the reinforced trusses are assembled first, the roof sections do not fit into the truss gutter channels. Overall, the kit seems to be very effective in making the shed feel much more solid. My initial plan was to make the shed very solid by adding an inside framing and additional rafters of 2x4s that would also function for adding shelving and hanging hocks. The main reason I ordered the kit was for the door reinforcement and and added latches. I have designed and added a solid work bench/shelving unit in the rear section. I know that the snow reinforcement parts are offered separately; I would suggest offering the door kit also as a stand alone kit.
