First, I have to say the customer support from shedsforlessdirect.com and also Lifetime has been fantastic. In between ordering my shed and actually assembling the dang thing, we had a baby, then weather wouldn't cooperate on days when I could have worked on the base, shed, etc. I discovered additional broken parts during assembly which was way past the stated time to claim broken pieces. I understood this and offered to pay for the parts, explaining why it took so long to find them broken, and they still covered the parts.
Once the frame was assembled and ready to accept the shed, assembly was actually pretty straightforward, it was surprising how fast we got the walls up. I worked on this with my dad, and between the two of us finished most of the assembly in about 2 days, skipping assembling the shelves and snow load brackets until later.
The only thing I've had issues with so far are with screws not lining up in the roof, or stripping and coming out. The skylight is affixed with screws that basically screw into a slotted groove, had a couple that wouldn't stay in at first. So far this is holding my 42" riding mower, push mower, and other odds and ends without issue, so I'm happy about that.
The things that did NOT go so good were related to the delivery. The shed is delivered in about 5 long boxes that are placed on two standard pallets which are not connected together. With a residential delivery, the driver usually only has a one-pallet jack and no assistant. And the tailgate isn't long enough for two pallets. So the driver, working with the tools they have, puts the long package on the tailgate, doesn't realize part is still on the truck, lowers the tailgate, the package slips and the back end slams down on the ground. Then the driver drags the package with the newly destroyed pallet (remember it only carries one pallet) up the driveway, scattering bits of pallet and cardboard along the way, then requests a signature to accept the delivery. Shedsforlessdirect handles it well from there, ordering replacement parts, but those parts come on similar double pallet packages which results in more damaged components and more replacements and more deliveries, more diesel, more time, etc. If these are going to be shipped on double pallets, they should be placed on double-length pallets instead of two individual pallets.
