2. Delivery was exceptional. Materials arrived on time and in excellent condition, no damaged or missing items.

Only confusion, and it is very minimal, is that with this shed you get two deliveries, one from Home Depot, other Best Barns. I received the Home Depot delivery first, but had no idea how to verify that I got everything intended because I was not provided an itemized list of what comes with each delivery, in advance. After a quick call to Best Barns, it was explained that the complete list of items for each delivery comes in the Owners Manual, which is part of the second delivery, or can be downloaded from the Best Barn site. John at customer service was very helpful, and forwarded me a copy of the owners manual so I could verify the first delivery prior to the arrival of the second. Again, not a big deal, just know that the complete list of each delivery item is in the owners Manual.

3. Assembly was a lot of fun, have really enjoyed the process. I am an average DIY type of guy (60 yrs old) that has some experience building a couple of decks, platforms, and home renovations, but this was my first large shed (20 x 12) from scratch. I completed the entire build by myself, though I can say there were a handful of times (erecting front wall, mounting gables/trusses, passing sheathing up to roof for install, etc.) an extra set of hands, and more muscle would have been a big help and assembly would have been a bit quicker. I did build a platform off of the ground for the foundation, could be overkill, but I wanted to install a vapor barrier and install floor insulation.

I really like the 6/12 pitch roof aesthetically, however I quickly learned that I'm not as agile and strong as I used to be and found the pitch a bit challenging when installing the ice/wind barrier. underlayment, starter shingles, quick edge, etc. Again, I'm not a professional roofer, so I am sure there are ways to make this part of the project easier with less trips up and down the ladder. Not a complaint, just my ignorance on how challenging this particular roof-pitch was for me personally.

Only frustration I had was with the truss assembly phase. I built all of the trusses exactly as the instructions directed, and they turned out great. Only issue is that, there was no explanation that a separate a box marked "Extension Kit" had materials for two additional trusses, which I needed to complete the roof framing. Of course by the time I figured out that I needed what was in the "Extension Kit" (I had assumed this was for the 24 ft version) to complete the truss build and assembly process, I had disassembled by floor jig for building the trusses. So I add to reset the truss assembly jig on the floor to build the last two trusses. Needless to say, the last two trusses were not exactly the same as the others (because of using a different Jig) and it shows in the roof ridge line, as I have a slight dip where the two trusses were installed.. This is something Best Barns could improve upon with more upfront explanation that the Extension kit is required for the 20 ft shed and/or specifically identify the exact # of trusses to be built for the 16, 20, or 24 foot shed in the instructions.

Like any build of this nature, the instructions could be better, but for the most part I found them to be fairly thorough and consistent. I had some confusion, and needed to verify my understanding with the alignment of the roof sheathing with the eaves soffit, but a quick call to the Best Barns help desk and I was good to go! They were great and very willing to assist!

4. Customer Service was outstanding! Very pleased with their professionalism and competence.

5. Overall, I find the quality of the shed and the materials used in the construction to be of high quality. Very satisfied!

Thank you Sheds for Less and Best Barns for an exceptional shed construction process!
