Very nice heavy duty play ground system. Our grand children are excited to have this. This is a low maintenance long lasting system. Assembly took 5 1/2 hours for my husband and I. All fastening bolts are on individual cards labeled to what section of assembly they are for. It was easy to know whether of not you have all the parts before you start. The directions are straight forward and if you follow them it is easy to assemble. There were a couple of sections where they could have used a few more words. You need to plan a good amount of time to do this. Power tools did not really help on assembly. You will need to have 1 wrench and a drill with a 5/16 bit and a rubber mallet other tools were included. Patience is a must when putting this together. The fasteners are mostly allen head bolts and well nuts. You will need to wear gloves to get these bolts tightened. It does require good strength to do this project. Some reviews suggest they used other hardware because of the tread locking compound. I would not recommend doing this as this hardware is very unique with serious intent to promote safety and injury free play.
Some reviews said they buffed the thread locking compound off before assembly, I would caution that you should be sure to have another form of thread locker if you decide to take this action.
You must be very careful to be sure that the allen wrenches perfectly straight in the bolts and nuts as to ensure that you do not strip the allen fastener out. I have made a recommendation to Lifetime that since all of this hardware is custom made for Lifetime that Torx driven bolts would be extremely beneficial in tightening fasteners. This unit comes in a huge crate, if you order it plan for moving it to your location. Upon delivery I unloaded from the freight truck to a 12 foot long trailer. You will have a large wooden crate to dispose of. Great firewood once you take it apart. You will have a large amount of cardboard to get rid of.
Note: We were missing two bolts, I contacted Lifetime by email and then by telephone and expect this missing hardware any time. I am going to watch this play system and may tie it down since when my 9 year old and my 6 year old grand daughter were swinging the A frame legs would come off of the ground slightly.
I recommend this play set. We bought the red, yellow and blue play set because in the videos the children looked to be having more fun on that one.
