Even though it's freestanding (no concrete footings needed or anything), it feels really stable and safe. Everything is heavy duty and fits together almost too tightly (had to backtrack a couple steps to loosen things and get them lined up). But I'd much rather have that than too loose or flimsy. Even though there's a million parts, it wasn't too painful to put together. The instructions are decent, although there are some steps where it took some time and experimenting to make sure things were pointed in the right direction. I actually assembled it myself over the course of a couple weekends, but I don't recommend that. Call a friend. It would have been much easier that way. But it is doable if you get creative. I'd absolutely recommend this. Feels like something that we'll get a lot of years of fun out of.
