This shed is very cute, and even more sturdy than we had expected. My husband and I are pretty handy at building things, and considered building a shed of this size from wood. The cost would have been far more than what this shed cost us.
The directions are very detailed, and as long as you follow them in exactly the order given, you will be fine. Allow a few days to build it, as it has hundreds of screws, bolts, and parts. It took only the two of us, but had we had a third just for reading us the directions, it would have gone faster.
All the shelves, corner shelves, and tool corrals are not only handy, but add structural support as well. The windows slide open, and the skylights really help with lighting. The floor is imprinted with the look of wood planks. Looks pretty cool.
We also purchased the additional snow-load supports, which really made the roof feel solid. The screws for these extra supports are self-tapping screws, so be sure you have a power screwdriver, as it takes 128 screws, and some arm strength. All the other screws and bolts on the shed are pre-drilled and easy. So far, even in heavy, blowing rain, the inside remained completely dry. We have not yet had snow on it.
Because our yard is uneven and sloped, we built a level, pressure-treated wood platform with a ramp to the front door. We really like the look and the function of this shed, and recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind putting it together. It takes minimal tools, but takes time and patience.
