Our 8 foot wide Lifetime sheds are already built to last although you might want to consider reinforcing your new shed for extra strength! The Extreme Weather Kit will anchor your 8ft. Lifetime storage shed down to your foundation from top to bottom with steel supports for the walls, doors and roof trusses. This kit will increase the roof snow load of your shed from 23 pounds per square foot to 30 pounds per square foot! For our 8x10 size Lifetime shed that would give you 2400 pounds roof load capacity! The extreme kit will also help those in severe wind areas. This kit will increase the wind rating from 65 miles per hour to 90 miles per hour!
This kit will provide reinforcements for up to 3 roof trusses on the 8 foot Lifetime sheds. If you get an 8x12 or larger shed you will need to purchase an extra snow load kit; call for details.
Note: this weather kit is not designed for our Side entry Lifetime sheds; it is meant for the 8 foot wide sheds. This kit is not approved for Miami Dade county requirements in Florida.
